Laura Kaplan

Laura Kaplan is the South Florida Regional President for BNY Mellon Wealth Management. As a strategic investment, wealth planning, and family office services executive, Laura partners with families of wealth, endowments, and non-profit organizations to provide objective advice.

Laura joined the firm with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Her previous experience includes serving as a Managing Director and Senior Private Client Advisor responsible for managing high-net-worth families at Bank of America Private Bank, Managing Director for Deutsche Bank Private Bank, Market Manager for Citi Private Bank Law Firm Group and Vice President of Global Relationships Banking at Citigroup Latin America as well. Prior to financial services, Laura was a member of the New York Treasurer’s Office of General Motors, based in Singapore.

Laura is active and passionate about community engagement. She serves on the board of the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), is the co-chair of the Commonwealth Institute of Florida, a women’s leadership and mentoring organization. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum, the Tocqueville Cabinet of the United Way and the Star of David Society of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Laura is dedicated to making the financial lives of those she serves better and raising her three children with her husband, Jeffrey Kaplan.
