Karen Woodall

Karen has 43 years of experience in advocating for social justice in the Florida Legislature. She was Executive Director of Florida Impact from 1980-1990 and on the Sales Tax Review Commission in 1986/87. She is currently the Executive Director of Florida Center for Fiscal and Economic Policy (FCFEP), which she co-founded in 2007. In 2015 she founded the Florida Peoples Advocacy Center (Florida PAC) as part of the FCFEP. In addition, she works on contract with the Southern Poverty Law Center and Earth Justice. Karen has served on the statewide Farmworker Advisory Council, the state WAGES Board; the Kidcare Coordinating Council, and chaired the statewide Health and Human Services Board and the District 2 HHS Board. Karen was born in Miami and graduated from Florida State University with degrees in Psychology, Social Work and Government.
